The representatives of the Croatian non-governmental organizations in Belgrade

The representatives of the Croatian non-governmental organizations "Center for peace, non-violence and human rights" from Osijek (Bojan Lalic) and "Association for peace and human rights" from Bilje (Gordana Stojanovic) have spoken about their experiences in elections campaign in Croatia, on a debate held on Saturday, February 12, 2000, in the premises of local community of Palilula. The debate is just one of the series of debates organized all over Serbia in the past week, by "Group 484". Apart from the citizens, the participants also were the representatives from Serbian NGOs advocating for early elections in Serbia.

The purpose of this series of debates os to present the ways of encouraging the traditionally non-voting citizens to take advantage of their voting right. Judsging by the reactions of the participants, some of the Croatian experiences could be implemented in Serbia, as well.
